Virthos supports Google's sitemap protocol

30 November 2006 – All users of Virthos Basic 2.0 and Virthos Pro 2.0 can now take advantage of a new free template that can be used to build sitemaps in XML format for use by Google and other search engines.

Google, together with Microsoft and Yahoo, have collaborated on a common standard for sitemaps. By providing a sitemap in this XML-based format, webmasters can make it easier for search engine robots to read and process a site's internal structure, so that no significant pages are overlooked. Using a free template, Virthos users can build a sitemap in this new format with a few mouse clicks. Since the source code is freely available, the template can also serve as a model for other sitemap layouts. You can find the tempate on our download page in the "Samples" category.
